Learn moreKenansville is a small unincorporated community in southeast Osceola County, about 450 people at the last census, with cattle country and ranch land around it.
Soils around Kenansville are described as poorly drained sandy soils, and the Immokalee type, common in flatwoods, has a seasonal high water table only 6 to 18 inches down for one to four months in most years. When the ground is already wet, water from a downspout has nowhere to go. We can extend the downspout onto ground that slopes away or run it underground.
A National Weather Service survey after Hurricane Irma in 2017 recorded about 9 inches of rain at four gauges in Kenansville. A roof on open land takes the full force of rain and wind, so check hangers and fascia after major storms.
Rural lots often have a house plus outbuildings and long driveways. Detached barns and carports are worth a look, because roof water from them can drain across a path you use. We also install skirting for manufactured homes and underground drainage.
Besides Kenansville, we work throughout Osceola County, including St. Cloud, Holopaw. See all service areas.
