On a large lot, a downspout that dumps at the foundation can leave water pooling near the house, while a long run to the street or a low corner of the yard is a real project. Extensions, buried drain lines and pop-up outlets let us carry roof water out to a spot that slopes away from the house. We plan the route at the estimate so it does not cross a walkway, driveway or a neighbor's line.
Brevard County requires advanced septic systems on the barrier islands and within about 197 feet of the lagoon and its open-water tributaries, and the state wants existing systems in the lagoon protection area connected to sewer or upgraded by July 1, 2030. County grants exist for upgrades. If you are replacing a drain field or adding a tank, tell us where it will go, because buried downspout lines should stay clear of it. See the county's septic upgrade page.
Lots near Turkey Creek and its feeder ditches can sit lower and stay wet longer after summer storms. Check your flood zone on the FEMA map before you plan drainage. Gutters only handle roof runoff, so we aim outlets onto ground that slopes away from the slab and has somewhere to go.
Besides Malabar, we work throughout Brevard County, including Palm Bay, Grant-Valkaria, Palm Shores. See all service areas.
